TripAdvisor – UX/UI Onboarding screens

posted on November 26th 2019 in with 0 Comments

With the launch of TripAdvisor Experiences New Supplier Platform and the growth in number of suppliers, there was a need to onboard new suppliers in the newly designed platform they use to manage their products.

The target audience of the project was new suppliers, and the main goal was to show some of the features suppliers can access and manage in their dashboard.

We did some user research in order to understand what are the features suppliers use and value the most, so we highlight those in the walk-through screens.
We also iterated on the designs after trialing with a more friendly-illustration style to learn users preferred mock-ups of what they will be presented later on in the dashboard.

This project has been undertaken during my professional employment at TripAdvisor.

TripAdvisor – Hackathon 2019

posted on June 15th 2019 in with 0 Comments

In order to celebrate TripAdvisor 2019’s Hackathon I was tasked to design the visual identity of this year’s event and create a series of materials around it supporting the different happenings.

The main task was to design the art for the T-shirt, which resembles a mother board in which all the participating offices (London, Oxford, Lisbon, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston and Headquarters in Needham) appear represented by one of the most iconic landmarks of those cities.

The typography used is a very modern style font called Dual, which has an amazing set of glyphs to custom your lettering.

In addition to the T-shirt design, I also created some collateral materials like stickers for all participants, stickers for the winners, trophies, pint glasses, banners, posters and email campaigns.

This project has been undertaken during my professional employment at TripAdvisor.

Williams Esports – UX + UI

posted on January 22nd 2019 in with 0 Comments

In May 2018 Williams launched an official Esports team to compete in a range of online sim racing competitions. This gave Williams an opportunity to compete in a burgeoning industry, providing both new and existing fans with opportunities to engage with the team in a diverse and accessible arena.

As the Williams Esports roster grew and started to win more and more competitions we felt the need to create a dedicated site for this branch of Williams, in which any user could discover which drivers are part of the team, in which competitions the team participates, which games and series to follow, as well as a window to showcase the partnerships the team is gaining among other brands in the industry.

Japan. An illustrated map

posted on January 3rd 2019 in with 0 Comments

New Year, new travel plans! As the cherry blossom season approaches, it’s time to get the itinerary ready for spring.

The map has been designed on Illustrator, showcasing a mix of Japanese elements: temples, food, culture… It has been placed over a very light Japanese-style background in a try to keep it clean and minimal. The use of colours is to highlight the red and white of the Japanese flag, with other pale colours that remind of the Hanami (cherry blossom).

The typography is also used to make the viewer travel to Japan. The title is in the modern Odachi font, a brush style font with an antique Japanese feel; the itinerary and subtitle are in Orkney, another sleek and elegant modern font with clean lines and neat corners, aligning to that Japanese minimalistic feeling.

Williams F1 2018 autograph cards and imagery

posted on May 22nd 2018 in with 0 Comments

This project included photography direction / production of the FW41 launch photoshoot and the drivers line-up (Sergey Sirotkin, Lance Stroll and Robert Kubica) photoshoot for 2018. The imagery was then used in the design of the official autograph cards for the season.

The idea was to do something different to everything that had been done before, showing an more personal aspect of the drivers, and focusing on producing something eye-appealing. The colour palette is the Williams Martini Racing colours.

Thanks Malky for the great shots we got 😉
