Arrivals and departures

In 2012, Danish photographer Jacob Aue Sobol from Magnum agency went through Russia, Mongolia and China on board on the Trans-Siberian Railway, the train that runs along there, bringing with him his ​​digital camera.

From the trip, which lasted nearly a month, and in which he took about a thousand images a day, born the exhibition Arrivals and Departures, currently housed at the Leica Gallery in Prague.

The photos are in black and white, some made from the train window, depicting the Russian forests, the Mongolian desert and the mountains of Beijing, but also experienced the atmosphere and the people met on the trip.
